Hello dear Scientists, hope you all will be ok.

I have seen in many research articles that for extraction of phytochemicals from any plant, solvents i-e 70% Methanol or 95% Ethanol or any other solvent is used which is not 100% in its own pure form... So the question is that why dont people use pure Methanol or Ethanol as a solvent for the extraction? What is the logic behind using 70% or 90 or 95% Ethanol and not pure form the concerned solvent??
