For HPLC analysis of Phenols and Triterpenoids, what concentration of standards and samples solutions (In mg/ml or microgram /ml) for injection into HPLC should be used? I just want to know about the rough idea of standards solutions and samples. So any one has any idea???
The answer depends on your detector and its sensitivity. For a 10 uL injection typically a 10 ppm (ug/mL) concentration is used. While for a 100 uL injection a 1 ppm concentration is used. The LOQ for most UV/Visible methos using a PDA/DAD is ~50 ppb (ng/mL).
