At higher temperatures, the disruption of molecular alignment in nematic liquid crystals doped with MWCNTs, modifications in MWCNT dispersion and alignment, increased interfacial thermal resistance, and approach to the isotropic phase are the main causes of the decrease in thermal conductivity of these liquid crystals. All of these things work together to lower the heat transfer efficiency of the composite material.
