Hi,
When I test my ligand in various pH range using britton robinson buffer and DMF mixture, the precipitation was formed between pH 8~12.
I don't know why this solvent mixture make precipitation.
How can I solve this problem?
what is your ligand?
Hi Yurii
Actually I found something that the britton robinson buffer with DMF in basic condition make precipitation without ligand. I don't know why.
DMF is a solvent with a lot of problems, the basic pH and the presence of water are two main factors that conduct to decomposition products.
What is the cation? Phosphate salts, like K3PO4, are likely to be your precipitants in mixed solvents.
Dear Marius
Thank you for your reference I'll read it!
Also, Yurii, the cation is sodium and hydrogen because britton robinson buffer made by phosphoric acid, boric acid, acetic acid and sodium hydroxide.
