Recently I used Malvern Particle Size Analyzer to determine the particle size distribution of an Ordinary Portland Cement. But the cumulative volume exceeded 100% and equaled to 120%. What is the reason for this?

Fan Zheng This is not a plot from the Malvern software - has it been exported into another package? For example, the horizontal axis is in mm and not microns. Please publish the actual report page. I suspect that the plot refers to non-normalized (to 100%) data.
Alan F Rawle Yes you are right. I copied the data and plotted in Excel, but I wrongly used the unit in the horizontal axis (it should be in microns). I agree with you that the data is non-normalized. After I did normalization, I got the data that I wanted. Thank you very much!
