Hello everyone! I'm working on VOF modeling of vegetated open channel flows in Ansys Fluent. There is problem in contours of water volume fraction. The water level specified at the start of channel should continue till the end but in my case there is alot of diffusion at the interface. What changes should I do to my model. The contours are shown in attached picture.
The conditions are Steady flow simulation, VOF model with open channel flow, Implicit body formulation with sharp inter-facial modeling, K-epsilon turbulence model with standard wall function, Pressure-velocity coupling scheme is SIMPLE, Discretization scheme for pressure as Body force Simulation and Compressive for Volume Fraction.

DearKamran, this effect depends strongly from the grid and the schemes you are using.
