Why plastic pyrolysis oil is used in Diesel or CI engines and not in SI or petrol engines?

Why most of the research in the literature focuses more on the application of plastic pyrolysis oil in CI engines and not on the SI engine? Does it have to do with the composition of the oil? If so Should we start experimenting more on its application in SI engines?
