Diesel fuel contains sulfur since it is derived from original crude oil source and can still be present after refining as it is tedious remove sulfur from diesel after fractional distillation process
I agree with my colleague (S Kalaiselvan). As diesel is obtained from crude oil, which contains a considerable percentage of sulphur compounds (like thiol, thiophene or benzothiophene, among others), its refining might not assure the complete removal of sulphur in the final fuel.
