For metal evaporation, cost of Au and Pd pallets are comparable. But in most of the cases, Au electrode is widely used though the work function of graphene under Au is lower than graphene under Pd. Moreover, the wet-ability of Pd in graphene is higher than Au. Then why Au is used by most of the researcher?
