I modeled a simple cube . a fixed support on a node attaching to the bottom area and in the load step 1, a pressure of 10 MPa to the half of upper area . In the load step 2 , I retain the pressure of 10 Mpa and also add a pressure of 20 Mpa to the other half of upper area . I run the model . I expect that the reaction of the only support of this mode should be the summation of these two pressure , but it is less than that . can anyone help me ?
Sometimes the difference is little but sometimes significant . I choose the last substep in read result menu in general post proc menu, then I choose reaction solution in list results .
Did you model your cube using solid elements? If so then fixing a single node will only remove three of the six rigid-body motions and this might be causing your problem.
