I feel all other lesions resembling Lichen planus should be included in the classification of Lichenoid lesions and not Lichen planus. Please share your views.
Thank you very much for answering my question. Saw the draft Sir. I hope plaque type is the same as hypertrophic form and also lichenoid mucositis due to other systemic causes like graft versus host reaction is included.
I also feel that in histologic diagnostic criteria, if dysplasia is present then it should not be diagnosed as lichen planus. A note on lichenoid dysplasia needs special mention since it has lead to lot of confusion. Those dysplasias which look histologically like lichen planus are called so and I have doubt of dysplasias arising from lichen planus itself since its malignant potential is negligible.
