Why is Lichen planus classified under "Lichenoid lesions (lesions resembling lichen planus)" when it is a well known entity? Is this justified?

I feel all other lesions resembling Lichen planus should be included in the classification of Lichenoid lesions and not Lichen planus. Please share your views.
