BRCA 1 and 2 are involved in the HR DNA repair pathway and they have an ubiquitous distribution in the whole body. I just wonder myself why is there a higher risk of breast or/and ovarian cancer when BRCA1 or/and 2 are mutated compared to other type of cancers ? If the HR DNA repair pathway is impaired, I would like tothink there is the same risk to develop a new cancer in all type of cells, rationally. So, are there other mechanisms known which could rescue cells in other type of cells ? Anything else ?

We have a lot of reason and genes for Breast cancer, such as: CHEK2, Cowden Syndrome (PTEN gene), Peutz Jegher (STK11 gene), Li-fraumeni syndrome (TP53 gene) and ......
But strong gene that related to Breast Cancer is BRCA 1 because:
1. Bio statistics and Bioinformatics helped to us for BRCA1 recognize.
2. This gene (BRCA1) related to HR repair (double strand repair).
3.This gene related to some genes for mutations detections.
4. Our experiences between populations
suggest to us, that BRCA1 is one of important factor in breast cancer and breast cancer stem cells.
