In Gene-NCBI, the location is stated as 2q13-q14 (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/5624), whereas, Ensembl says it’s 2q14.3 (http://www.genecards.org/cgi-bin/carddisp.pl?gene=PROC&search=472564639938f16c882d68cf5f437098). This two cytogenetic band locations are for the same gene PROC. Why and how can it be like that? I even found 3 different cytogenetic locations for a single gene! Why this kind of discrepancy? Which one I can consider as a standard one?
