I am simulating a thin plate (membrane) in COMSOL Multiphysics > Solid Mechanics Module. When I apply periodicity on membrane, the dispersion curve shows straight lines which indicates, periodic condition is not working.
I don't know why, if anyone can comment on this.

Hi -- Muhammad and Roman Anufriev , I just started a research on metamaterials, I'm at the stage where I'm trying to figure out how to apply floquet-bloch's boundary condition for periodic waves on Comsol. I've never done that before. Please, can you guys help. I'll really be grateful. Thanks
Interesting. I am working on a simulation of wave propagation in a square lattice and the same thing happened here. I believe that the problem is definitely related to the k-space sweep, however, I still didn't figure it out. Were you able to solve that -- Muhammad ?
Victor Gasparetto the problem was due to mesh, by user defined mesh configuration, reported result was achieved. My goal was to check how comsol works in simulating such periodic structure and I successfully achieved that. Should I be of any help, pls inbox me.
Dear muhammad, you must take care about your dimensions and i think in the case of thin plate you are working as in 3D that based on your study. in general follow the following link and we can discuss it any time i have done many works by comsol in the same field.
