I am an Ansys fluent 15 user. Both the eddy dissipation and non-premixed models have shown combustion in steady state using RANS approach. Actually I want to apply LES model also. As LES has to be run in transient mode only, so combustion is not happening in transient mode, even for RANS approach.
Any Help will be highly appreciated.

There is a dependency with the EDC model on the ignition process. Previous versions of Fluent have required an injection of energy to start the combustion. It may be worth investigating the ignition process for your problem.

There are some ways to start a combustion: 1.It's a good idea to increase your temp in the initialize condition; by this method, all the zone or part of it, could reach to the primary energy to start a combustion. 2. another way is to make a specific zone in your combustion domain and increase the initial temp in that. 3. You could also use Patch in Solve/Initialize.../Patch ... to increase a parameter like temp to start a combustion but before that you should make a patch zone to start ignition in it.

u need to patch the products formed also, try using a very small value.
