Why do use the dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MRI to obtain tissue pharmaceutical information?

We know that use contrast agent in both dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) and dynamic susceptibility contrast (DSC) to obtain perfusion information and one of the ways to obtain information from both methods is a time-intensity curve. But, why use the DCE method for obtaining pharmaceutical information?
