im trying to differentiate 3T3 cells and were told that differentiation cocktail should be added at 70% confluency and then it will arrest the cell growth and starts to accumulate fat. But for the 4 th day also I could see they were growing continuously.

3T3 cells need to be 100% confluent for 48h before adding differentiation media.
