My solution has 10 mM sodium acetate and chloroform in an 2:3 ratio with 10 uL of concentrated Brilliant Blue G dye and small amounts of nicotine. For some reason mixing this solution via sonication makes the cuvette pretty cold, creates an emulsion (I think?) by turning only the chloroform layer cloudy and it stays like that for at least an hour (I threw it out at that point).
