while I am designing the droop control strategy for switching of the inverter, to show power flow between dc-ac and ac-dc side, I have noticed in most of the paper they have taken three-phase voltage and current as a reference after the LCL filter output from the inverter, they have transformed abc-DQ(in both voltage and current controller) frame why? and from three-phase, they have transformed into a single-phase dc component?
The d-q components of voltage and current quantities are constant values in steady-state for a balanced three phase system. Instead of dealing three sinusoidal quantities in abc domain, dealing two constant quantities in dq domain will reduce the complexity. Design of controller is easier for regulating a constant signal when compared to design of controller for regulating a sinusoidal signal.
For an unbalanced three phase system, controllers are designed in positive and negative sequence phasors of d-q quantities.
Micro grid, controller are mainly used for controlling power of micro grid, the VA=P+/_ jQ, could be easy and accurate to control using d-q frame(components)....
Becaue it is much easier to track and control dc signals than sinosuidal signals. Please take a look at the book "voltage source vonverters design theory and applications" by "iravani"
