I recently started growing CHO-KI cell lines and they look different than the normal cell that I used to grow and than how they look online. As they are more vesicular, circles in the cytoplasm.
Does anyone has any explanation to this?

The vesicles that appear in the cytoplasm are similar to the autophagosome that are observed when the autophagy of cells occurs. Look for the causes that induce autophagy and try to avoid them.
The reason may be the PH of the medium or the materials used in the medium . There may also be contamination, as contamination stimulates autophagy (including contamination that is not visible under a microscope such as contamination with mycoplasma).
