A democratic feeling says to me it would be good that teachers with the same standard or qualification should get aproximately the same salary - independent of the school type. Perhaps responsible leaders have another understanding of democratic relations.
Is this a universal characteristic in international schools? Probably not. Usually, higher wages are associated with greater competition in a given market and higher requirements, qualifications and competences for employees.
Teacher in international school is more experience and professional than state school.

Management collecting higher fee from students. The teacher has to work more to sustain students academic performance. Further, the teacher continues of service linked with school result. And unaided. But State schools are aided. This is the local situation.
