In my opinion, this sentence fits more into the pedagogy and school landscape of the 19th century. Modern education contains considerable elements of choice, the design of the school by the main people affected (pupils, teachers, parents), which at least relativises a passive acceptance of the legal school obligation and the respective responsible school.
If parents have free choice of school (and not necessarily a specific school for their child), they can choose a more distant school. And if they can pay some school fees - and many parents do this for the sake of their child - then they put their child into a private school.
But there is also the possibility for parents to participate in advising and deciding on many questions of school life. In democratic schools, parents are certainly represented in the school committee.
In the Netherlands (in primary school) and also in Germany, parental rights at school are an important factor.

I have always treated my students as my own, viewed them as reasonable human beings who are like me. Never have I despised any of them because of their poor academic record or any other reason. I know that every one of them has a special talent which I must assist them anyway I can to nurture them. One day, I pray they even become better than I am. With dignity we must treat our students. The world is cyclical. One day, we may be under our students and how will we feel if they treated us in inhumane manner as we did to them while they were students?
In a classroom, I as a teacher believe that we need to have a clear definition of students' expectations. Furthermore, each students is different from the other and the teachers have to respect and consider these differences and treat all the students in an equal manner.

Students are not stupid, they will consider you as you consider them
One of the teacher's tasks is to treat students with respect. However, the character of the relationship between the student and the teacher depends on the individual characteristics and specificity of the course. Some teachers can build a special master-student relationship and this is the most valuable one.
Why did Finland's education system succeed? .....
In Finland, teachers are highly trained, teaching at all levels requires they have a master's degree, as well as extensive studies in educational sciences and subjects. Of course, the teacher's profession is highly appreciated. One teacher teaches most subjects to young students, providing them with psychological support and a sense of security. The teacher should ensure that the class is free from all forms of discrimination and harassment. Assessment of learning does not begin with grades until the student reaches the fifth grade. The relationship between teacher and students is familiar and calm, and motivation is encouraged rather than punished.
Its not easy to face the students but supposed to teach yourself very well before facing students
