Positive reinforcement is also often used in training dogs. Pairing a click with a good behavior, then rewarding with a treat, is positive reinforcement.

Negative reinforcement is the opposite and is the pairing of a behavior to the removal of a negative stimulus. A child that throws a tantrum because he or she doesn't want to eat vegetables and has his or her vegetables taken away would be a good example.

Punishment is designed to weaken behaviors by pairing an unpleasant stimulus to a behavior. Receiving a detention for bad behavior is a good example of a punishment.

Flooding involves exposing people to fear-invoking objects or situations intensely and rapidly. Forcing someone with a fear of snakes to hold one for 10 minutes would be an example of flooding.

Systematic desensitization is also used to treat phobias and involves teaching a client to remain calm while focusing on these fears. For example, someone with an intense fear of bridges might start by looking at a photo of a bridge, then thinking about standing on a bridge, and eventually walking over a real bridge.

Concerning professions, many breaches of the ethical codex have no penology at work. Ethics is what we do, when nobody watches; having this fact in mind, the professional aspect of personal responsibility is paramount, especially for the future workplace. Otherwise, we are forced to found institutions that are capable of punishing other institutions, i.e. we would enter a vicious circuit.

According to you in regulating and improving professional and institutional behavior, requires a coordinated approach between the subjects or workers and the company or work environment; based on the establishment of ethical standards, legal regulation and institutional reform.

The definition of Cooper, Heron and Howard states that "behavior modification is the science that involves the systematic application of the methods that have emerged from behavioral laws in order to make a fundamental and beneficial change In academic and social behavior.This science includes the provision of empirical evidence that explains the responsibility of the methods used in the change in behavior .

Definition of behavior:

Human behavior is defined as all actions and activities that are issued by the individual whether visible or not. Others define it as any activity of the human being, whether actions can be observed and measured, such as physiological and motor activities or activities carried out in an unnoticed manner such as thinking, remembering, whispers and others

Behavior is not static but changes. It does not occur in the vacuum but in an environment. It may occur involuntarily and in a manner such as breathing or coughing.
