While salting out native collagen containing solution, how do I know that I am not precipitating non-collagenous protein?

We use the salting out technique to precipitate wide variety of protein. How does NaCl only precipitates only collagen? Does NaOH pre-treatment help to remove Non-Collagenous Proteins (NCPs) completely? Please help.
