You ask about degrees or scientometric dactors.
Degree: full professor.
Factors: h index, number of independent citations.
Still the metrics and degrees are only generally "rank" the person. The number of projects its budget and at the end the effects obtained are much more relevant.

I agree with Maria. Also, degrees that were once popular, high-demand items may be of lesser demand now, and vice-versa. Time and market preferences change ....
All university degrees are useful. The usefulness of any degree is a function of system requirement and market choice. Are you referring to the usefulness in terms of global ranking or level of degrees (B.Sc, M.Sc., Ph.D)?
or, perhaps, are you referring to specific majors?? Biology, marketing, art, music, engineering, and so forth . . .
