Professional engineer is competent by virtue of his/her fundamental education and training to apply the scientific method and outlook to the analysis and solution of engineering problems. Especially, in science and technology: research, design, construction, manufacturing, supervision, managing and engineer's education can take personal responsibility for development and application. His or her work is very intellectual and different and is not a normal psychological or physical character. This requires exercise of the original idea and judgment and the ability to monitor the technical and administrative work of others. His or her education is continuously consulting the newly published works based on the worldwide basis and applying it independently. His or her education and training will be to acquire a broad and general appreciation of his or her engineering sciences as well as a thorough insight into the unique features of his or her own department. At the appropriate time he or she can give official technical advice and take charge of the important programs in his or her department.

I work on designing and simulation of optical and quantum devices. This branch of electronics has been developed in recent years. Increasing of required bandwidth is a main issue for developing optical devices. These devices manipulate and process incoming light to the desired goals.

Fine question. Today, the best engineers must see sociology as an object of engineering. Two centuries ago, the object was physical glamour. The engineers dined with royals who sought that glamour. The profession then dimmed. Now, engineering lives in a complex space where sociological concerns must rule. It points to liberal education.

There must be more emphasis on critical thinking and innovation. This will improve the field of engineering and bring to birth functional products that eases work and systems while making our world better.

Engineering evolved in many aspects. But we need pay attention in the quality of our engineers.

Fundamental basement of engineering is to apply scientific or empiric methods to use natural resources in human and environmental benefits. This ethical principe never can out of our mind. All innovation need be in this way.

Engineering is a precious profession which shall ensure the balance the demanding needs of human kind and preservation of corporate environment. An engineer could apply various tools to achieve the task such as mathematics, chemistry and physics in an innovative way. Innovative application of such tools shall be evolutionary according to the presents and future needs of human kind.

Engineering is pure mathematics manipulated by scholars/scientists to fit into our applications. Over the past few decades rapid and significant evolution has been there and it is serving mankind in the best possible manner. The automation industry, space missions, sky touching buildings, Internet of Things etc are the latest examples around us to realise the evolution.

We still live on a planet and within a Universe that is dangerously without technology. We invented to use fire about 150,000 years, ago. We learned to enhance our brain capacity by hunting and modern farming, we learned to be smiths and use metallurgy which brought us into a totally new technological era, because it was possible to master every challenge mother nature has given to us, every path of mental and cultural evolution. Now, we are a global village, we able to fly to the stars, though of our primitive biological species.

If things would have been evolved in another way, we would be like angels, maybe. Currently we are just chimpanses with mobile cell phones, and need to learn not to kill each other and not to murder, at all.

Our technology and engineering science must not be restricted to us, only. We have the ability to fix all issues we have cause by our metallurgy experiences. We should concentrate to bring life to the stars, god and mother nature gave us this presents, it's not just a gift. If we will fight against the abuse in our hearts, if we fight against our ignorant and egoistic ways of behaviour, we will reach that goal.

Engineering science is an evolutionary step in our culture. But it's just a part of our expericence of being human. We should concentrate on the challenge of being ->

2.) Sustainable

3.) Ecological
