I would like to observe the biodistribution of nanoparticles inside cells by TEM. I found in some literature that people are using different types of resins for embedding. In one literature I found the use of LR White resin that does not require high temperature. Again some other literature, people are using Epon resin for polymerization. Which type of resin will be best for such study?

Epon, Spurr’s or Polybed 812 epoxy resin are popular
When done properly, type of resin does not matter. However I prefer epon substitute because LR white can be finicky if glutaraldehyde was used for fixation. There is no epon anymore, different suppliers sell their own substitutes and include in their name "812", like poly/bed 812 or embed 812. LR white is often better for work with immunogold and some people just like to work with LR white. Choose resin you are more comfortable with.
To have better nanoparticle contrast do not use staining. OsO4 is good enough for modern TEM to see basic cell morphology.
