Towards what purpose, as  this may impact your rearing geometry.  Are these primary neuron explants / sourced?  

If you want direct contact, many plates could be used, but you might have to coat them with an attachment agent (e.g. polylysine or others). If you just need diffusible contact in small amounts, then a hanging basket insert could be used.  

If you are looking for large amounts of cells, then cultivation of nervous tissue by means of the roller-tube techniques can yield thin layers of  organotypic cultures.
