You would want grids with support films, preferably carbon film or silicon monoxide film. You can prepare films by yourself or buy them from Electron Microscopy suppliers, for example from Pelco:
The TEM grids with Lacy carbon coating can be used to allow maximum load and stabilize your powder samples on the grid. You can use solvents such as methanol or toluene to disperse NPs. However, it definitely depends on the apparatus you are using for imaging and the TEM expert preparing your sample.
