Access to complex scientific issues/disciplines is often limited to a specialized audience, but creating good scientific infographics can make research accessible through visual representations. Simple visual effects can provide effective communication, clear explanations of complex issues, and public access. I use various graphic applications according to the type of infographics. However, for drawing graphics, diagrams, etc., I use several different graphics applications that are open access (free), such as Gimp, Photoshop, Inkscape, Blender, Render, Pixia, ACDSee, Twisted Brush, Picasa, PhotoFiltre etc. I am using ms excel to draw charts. I use Ms PowerPoint to create presentations for scientific conferences, symposia and didactic classes. I use PowerPoint and some other Ms Office, OpenOffice, etc. applications to draw simple diagrams, diagrams, etc. in presentations or other documents in which scientific texts are edited at the same time. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator offer a rich set of graphic and illustrative tools, but using them comes at a relatively high cost, so I don't usually use this type of application. For drawing various types of simple graphic objects, which I then insert into the created infographics, I use such Open Source graphic applications (free), such as Gimp, Inkscape, Blender, ACDSee, etc. However, for digital processing I use such Open Source graphic applications (free) such as Rendera, Pixia, Twisted Brush, Picasa, PhotoFiltre etc. After developing certain graphic objects, graphics, photos, then I insert these objects into the created infographics.

Adobe software, such as Photoshop or Illustrator, can be used. However, if you find it challenging, Microsoft Powerpoint might be used instead. The most crucial factors to consider are creativity and a basic understanding of design principles such as contras and so on.

I would recommend Mind the Graph (mindthegraph.com), it's cheap, easy to use, and there are lots of illustrations, templates, and a poster maker! Also, there are some guidelines in the blog (mindthegraph.com/blog).
You can use Inkscape. It is a free and open-source vector graphics editor for GNU/Linux, Windows and macOS X. It offers a rich set of features and is widely used for both artistic and technical illustrations such as cartoons, clip art, logos, typography, diagramming and flowcharting. It uses vector graphics to allow for sharp printouts and renderings at unlimited resolution and is not bound to a fixed number of pixels like raster graphics.
