I need to perform an in vitro ubiquitination assay, using a recombinant protein as substrate. I would like to know if is better a protein produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells or in E.Coli.
Ubiquitination is one of the most important posttranslational modifications in all eukaryote organisms. An in vitro ubiquitination assay can be applied to proteins derived from eukaryotic organisms. Thus, a protein produced in Sf9 will be more appropriate for your experiment.
