Proverbs are the pride of many nations around the globe. They offer one with teachings of wisdom in just a sentence. Proverbs have a deeper meaning that give them their sweetness. Some may sound provoking, but no contesting that they define the society belief systems as well as principles.

Indian Proverb
"Talent is no match for practice." - Vietnamese proverb.

A wise child is spoken to in proverb and not in narrative (English translation of a Twi (Akan) proverb from Ghana).
Ɔba nyansafo wƆ hƆ yi, wobu no be na wƆnnka no asem

As you can see, the phonetic symbol 'Ɔ' appears bigger than the other letters, the reason why I sent the English translation. There is another phonetic symbol that sounds like 'e' as in 'get' but this does not show in 'asem'.
Perhaps, Muhammed could translate his proverb for those of us who do not understand what he has written.
