I am using ABAQUS/Explicit to model a push-out test comprising solid slabs and cold-formed steel (CFS) joist. The shear connector is a CFS stiffened angle. Load application is by displacement boundary condition (BC). The slip obtained from the experiment is 2.5 mm but my modeling result is about 0.3 mm. Both experimental and FE plots are similar. Below is a summary of the modelling parameters.

Concrete: CDP & C3D8R

Cold-formed Steel &shear connector: S4R

Interaction: surface-to-surface/frictionless contact for steel to slab, connector to slab (embedded constraint) & rebar to slab (embedded constraint)

BC: The slab is restricted at the base from moving in the direction of the load application and laterally.

Loading: a rigid body constraint (tie) is used i.e reference point to CFS)

Suggestions are appreciated.
