I going to run a Two step reverse transcriptase reaction on a virus that belongs to the ((−)ssRNA) group (Distemper virus)
I want to be sure that am not mistaken.
Which primer should I use in the reaction, the forward primer or the reverse?

Dear Doron
for negative singe strand RNA virus, you can use the reverse primer for R-PCR in case you know the sequence of virus, if not you can add random primer.

Random primer is good solution to use in the reaction of reverse transcription of ssRNA virus
