I want to develop a nutritive flour consisting of sorghum, soybean and carrot. The objective is to enrich sorghum (carbohydrate source) with soybean (protein source) and carrot (vitamin source). So how can I determine proportions of each ingredient?
I see limitations if you dont extract the nutrients (specially vitamins).
For example, should you wish to do a final product with the RDA for vitamin A from carrots, you would have to add around 50g of carrots per 100g of final formula.
As carrots have 1455 mcg vit A per 100g and RDA are 800mcg.
I think you would need to ignore the vitamin part and concentrate on CH and P sources , and combining them in different proportions (like 60/40, 35/70 or whatever) make a final product with the P and CH you wish.
Then just add a pure vitamin source. I know is not what you look for but I can´t find a way.
