Hi, I want to check the OBP's gene regulation pattern in B. dorsalis after feed them protein bait but due to unavailability of liquid nitrogen I have to wait for liquid nitrogen. I have feed protein bait during specific day-age of fruit fly now, I am not sure can I save these fruit flies or should i have to again rear fruit flies and again feed them protein bait at this day age. If I can preserve fruit flies then please tell me the procedure how can I preserve them for RNA extraction in order to do RT-PCR. I need valuable suggestion if any one have experienced before such kind of situation. Thanks in advance for valuable guidelines.
Nitika thanks but i later i need to dissect antennae of fruit flies so only antnnae is my required tissue not others and another thing how much percent TRIzol required to stored fruit flies and there is no need of liquid Nitrogen while i am afraid may be after preserve RNA quality will be low due to storage so kindly tell me its your assumption or practical experience.
