In my case I try to control my fever by moping with chilled water. If no relief and recurrence then take paracetamol. Never take antibiotics without consulting physician. Is there any method or medicine you use for fever?
Paracetamol. But it should not be taken in excess dose or for prolonged periods because it may cause liver toxicity.

Non-steroidal ani-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and paracetamol (and metamizole available only in some countries) are the only anti-pyretic medications. They have different characteristics: NSAIDs can irritate stomach, induce asthma attack in susceptible people, contribute to excessive bleeding, whereas paracetamol may cause liver injury if overdosed. As the use of drugs should be minimized, in addition to medication, there are some non-pharmacological methods very useful especially in children. What do you mean by normal fever? is it the low one, or the simple one, or the transient one.

By normal fever I mean fever associated with common cold for which most of people use OTC products.
