Kindly suggest me a material that could replace mildsteel with corrosion resistance , currently I am working on mildsteel specimen surface grinding it is a time consuming process .
Stainless Steel can be used as alternate to Mild Steel with higher corrosion resistance and better surface finish. The time spent on surface grinding could be utilized for other research activities.
Alternate material will depend on the application and other requirements also. it will be Better if you can specify your required physical properties and application.
You can use Titanium and its alloys or some nickel based alloys like Inconel. They give excellent corrosion resistance properties. Also the material to be used largely depends upon the area of its application.
