Narasim, of course any software for a visual inspection is adequate for your purpose. I would only suggest to use a higher image quality (in comparison to the image above), otherwise the extracted values might be erroneous! Good luck, Dirk
Just a small remark first, you probably know, but the angle given in your picture is not the water contact angle. But it may be easier to determine the value like this. From the value in the picture it follows that your contact angle is 180° - 40.02° = 139.8°.
Although any software that allows you to determine the angle between two lines is suitable for evaluating your pictures, I would recommend choosing a program that was written for the purpose of determining the contact angle. There is a very nice, free, open source program available on:
