Garden means a small scale plot or field. If you have a crop growing in it and you want to know a salt tolerant plant for inter-cropping, well, I don't think it is necessary, the first crop must be salt tolerant in the first place since you have planted it in a highly saline soil.
But, I want to mention that in a small scale such as a garden, there are other physical ways to reduce the salinity level, relatively cheaply. I think the best way is to use mulching and increase soil organic matter, along with biochar. Gravel mulch, straw, etc. would be fine. I recommend gravel mulch, because of its longevity, relatively cheap, and availability. About 5 - 10 cm would be good. It reduces the evaporation, and let's the rain or occasional irrigation water to readily pass through. It leaches out the salt quite efficiently. Straw lasts less than a year, but it adds nutrients to the soil instead. Do not let the mulch to mix with the soil. So if you use gravel mulch, every 2 or 3 years, better to check and try to remove it from the soil, IF it is mixed with soil layer. For gravel mulch, a mixture of sizes would be fine, for example between 5 mm to 15 mm gravel sizes.
