I need two cell lines to perform a study in endometriosis and normal endometrium but which kind of cell lines are more suitable to perform this kind of study?
Cell lines for endometriosis research are difficult to obtain. There are no appropriate cell lines available in the ATTC repository. I have seen one publication using human an endometriotic epithelial cell line 12Z and stromal cell line 22B derived from a red lesion (Arosh et al., (2015) Mol Cell Endocrinol) that may be of assistance to you.
I am agree whit the Warren Foster, actually We don´t have an appropiated cell line to work to endometriosis. But is very important that Dr Foster have 2 cell lines.
thanks all for your kind and useful answers. Since this is the first time i work on endometriosis, i would like to ask you if anyone has a good protocol to isolate ephitelial and stromal cells from biopsy (i would try to isolate those cells from healthy women and women affected by endometriosis). Thank you in advance.
Here is a protocol that we use to isolate endometrial epithelial cells from the endometrium. This method allows you to collect both stomal and epithelial cells.
