When you calculated the specific capacitance of the electrode, you have use the mass of the active area. My question is about if my electrode composition is PVA (used as binder) mixed with a conducitive material as Graphene aerogel, Which is the mass we have consider, the addition of PVA and Graphene aerogel or just Graphene aerogel?
I totally agree with Vadahanambi and mass of graphene aerogel should be considered to calculate the specific capacitance of the electrode.

The reference of gravimetric capacitances is researcher defined. Usually we use the mass of the active materials, but it is also more practical to report the total mass of electrodes, which include active materials, binders, other additives, and substrates. You can, however, evaluate gravimetric capacitance using the masses of graphene aerogel and PVA. In this case, it will be great if you can make a note telling readers about what the gravimetric capacitance is based on.
