Czapek's Dox medium has been widely used to isolate fungal cultures in general, can it also be used as isolating medium for environmental samples? Does the pH affect the diversity of cultures tend to grow in this medium? which are the other suitable medium specifically used in above mentioned case?

You can use the Rose Begal medium for isolating and counting fungal communities (you can download it from the internet). This medium is supplemented with the antibiotic streptomycin to prevent the bacterial growth.
if it is soil, it is sufficient to choose the sample which you think most appropriate (where bacteria are found), collecting a portion of or mixing small portions of soil samples. Then applying the method of multiple dilutions of soil in water (or liquid culture medium)
Many media are available such as Potato dextrose Agar, Sabourads Agar, Malt extract Agar, Yeast extract Agar, Also Czapek dox Agar!
i know all these can be used to isolate fungal cultures with addition of antibacterial/ antibiotics to avoid bacterial growth!
I would like to know.... likewise Sabourads Agar is an selective media to isolate pathogenic fungi, similarly, is there any such selective media for isolating environmental fungal isolates specially from waste water samples?
Any medium should be considered selective for some group of fungi. I am usually using Sabouraud dextrose agar, Beer wort agar or similar media. For particular use, you can also produce your own media with some "extracts" - for soil, Soil extract agar is quite good option. So for waste water it could be similar - prepare sterile extract from waste water, add agar and it sohould work well for you.

Dear Akshaya Bicholkar, there are a great number of specific media for Isolation of filamentous fungi. It is always a question what you want to Isolate. In most cases bacteria and yeasts are cause of problems to isolate filamentous fungi. They tend to overgrow some slow growing fungi. It may be of help, to reduce the nutrient content to half a down to a quarter of nutrient conentrations. For Isolation of fungi from Penicillium over Aspergillus down to Fusarium species the use of CZID-medium can be recommended (Czapek-Dox with amendment of Iprodione and Dicloran) - recipee can be delivered.
