Hi!
I am wondering if someone can recommend me a good dye for measuring mitochondrial potential. I have used TMRE with good results in the past, but I have heard also about Mitoview.
I would use it for primary cells (muscle stem cells) and there are not many articles using none of them, many of them use Mitotracker. Any experience on the use of these dyes? And for mitochondrial mass.. any experience using Mitospy or Mitotracker?

I don't think MitoSpy or Mitoview dyes are so accurate to quantify the mitochondrial membrane potential. It is true there dyes sense the mitochondrial membrane potential and it is the mechanism how they accumulated in to cellular mitochondria. However, for a reasonably accurate quantification of the mitochondria membrane potential a dye like TMRE or Rhodamine 123 will be much better I guess.
