Human iPSCs can be generated from cells of all three germ layers. The most used cell types are mesodermal fibroblasts or blood cells, hepatocytes of endodermal origin, or ectodermal keratinocytes.

Malcolm is correct.

I would recommend fibroblasts if its possible to use them as they are very stable, easy to maintain and you can easily expand and freeze down vials.

In my experience they also nicely transition in to iPSCs.
