Dear all, I study marine sponges and their symbiotic microbes. I have some RNA-seq data of sponge transcriptomes. I wonder if there's any gene that can indicate the metabolic/respiratory rate of sponges.

I am studying marine sponges and their symbiotic microbes. I've got some RNA-seq data of sponge transcriptomes. I wonder if there's any gene that can indicate the metabolic/respiratory rate of sponges.  So I can look into the differential expression pattern and conclude if there's any differences in metabolic rates of my samples. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
