Hello everyone, I am a little confused into choosing the right flow's nature wether it is Laminar or Turbulent and in my case I have the Fluid flow and particles are moving through two parallel plates.
So I don't know when should we use the Laminar Flow or Turbulent Flow interface?
Could you help me please for this issue.

It depends on your Reynolds umber. depends on the size of the space between your plates and the speed of your plates.
That will be depends on which approach you want to use, Multiphase flow or Single phase flow. also depend on the velocity of particles that you want to simulate. anyway, you can start with low velocity then going to high values to see the fluids characteristics for each regime it is very interesting to understand laminar then the turbulent flow via changing the fluid properties. Can you please tell me the conditions of flow and other details. You really need to look into the Reynolds number of the flow. If at all the Reynolds number is turbulence range you can achieve laminar flow or vice versa in experiments. This is very well explained in Fluid mechanics text by Fox & McDonald.
You should consider the Reynold's number of the flow!
Reynold's number (Re) as you know is given by:
Re = ρVL/μ
and it is used to classify fluid flow as laminar or turbulent.
The nature of the flow, laminar or turbulent, not only depends on its velocity but also its density, viscosity and length scale.
For flow between parallel plates, the flow is laminar when Re < 1,400.
Thank you everyone for all these answers, you made it more clear for me because I didn't know wether to choose Laminar or Turbulent flow and since I variate the velocity at the entrance so what I understand is that I have to calculate the Reynold's number in order to determine the flow's condition for each velocity taken.
