Hello everyone, I use COMSOL Multiphysics 5.0 in my study and I want to know what must I put as a limiting condition for a plank crossed by wires placed in high voltage ^^
I used "Dielectric Shielding" as boundary condition, but I am not sure of my choice I used it just because it is a dielectric material ^^

You probably want to check the electric field between the cables, in this case you need to define a material like 'plank' and model it as a domain with a specific electric permittivity. Thanks Luiz for the explanation but when you say " Plank " you mean that I have to click with right-click on Material and select " Blank material " just for the Woodenboard that's it ?
Oualid, I was trying to find a word to woodenboard... You have to create a woodenboard material with a specific electric permittivity and assign to that domain..
Hi it's still me again ^^, thank you Luiz for your idea I have actually looked for the electric permitivity of wood and I obtained its value but if I pass towards the physical state which is "Electrostatic" and I don't affect any Boundaries for the wooden board and if I want to plot curves it doesn't give me any results in wood considering I have affect nothing to it at the beginning even if I have given it the value of epsilon R
So what should I affect for it in this case !
