Before assigning proper exp.design, I wanna know your main goal of your study. Whether main effect of each factor only? or one of particular factor? or the interaction only? Then, which plot type you will conduct? at the field or controlled area? Those conditions will influence the precision of your exp.design.
For example, for simplicity of field management, you can use Split Plot Design in RCBD in which you assign Nutrient Source (N/C/V) as main plot factor while levels of each Nutrient Source as sub-plot factor. In this case, however, all Nutrient Source will be bulked together as main factor (A=4X4 treatments). Hence, you totally will possess 16x4 treatment combinations (AB).
Keep in our mind, no experimental design is the best. It depends upon some factors mentioned earlier.
